IN THE LIGHT OF THE  HADITH

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) has reported that:
“The prayer before which the Miswak is used is 70 times superior to that before which it is not used.”
Hadith-about-miswakAbu Darda (may Allah be pleased with him) states that:
“Make Miswak a must not be headless as there are twenty-four advantages in Miswak, the biggest advantage is that Allah (swt), will be happy, wealth will boost, breath will freshen, gums will be strengthened, headaches will be relieved, toothache will be relieved and the angles will shake hands because of the light from the face and teeth.”
The wisdom underlying the usage of the Miswaak after rising from sleep is that during sleep bad vapours rise from the stomach towards the mouth. In addition to a shift in the sense of taste, this leads to poor smell in the mouth. Using the Miswaak removes unhealthy smell and rectifies the shift that happened in the flavour.
